Round 3 & 4 of the Hugo Loonam Motors Midlands East Rally Championship is the Wexford Stages Rally on the 9th & 10th September 2023 based in Wexford Town.

Points will be awarded for both days

Our championship for 2023 & 2024 is now combined to take in all our promoting Clubs. It will consist of the following 8 rounds.

It has been announced that Hugo Loonam Motors, Cloghan, will continue as main sponsor of the Midlands East Rally Championship for 2020. Hugo Loonam Motors are main Peugeot Dealers and was established in 2008.

Hugo Loonam stated “It is a great honour to sponsor this prestigious rally championship and I really look forward to working the championship committee & rally competitors”. Hugo Loonam Motors are based in Cloghan, Co Offaly.

This years championship will have 7 counting rounds starting in Abbeyleix on Sunday 23rd February and concluding in Baltinglass in October. The 7 Counting rounds are as follows:

23rd February - Birr Stages Rally, Abbeyleix.

10th May – Carlow Stages Rally, Carlow.

7th June - Laois Stages, Portlaoise.

9th August – Tipperary Stonethrowers Rally, Clonmel.

5th + 6th September – Wexford Stages Rally, Wexford***.

18th October – GSMC Rally, Baltinglass.

*** Both days are separate points

The opening round of the Championship will be hosted by the Birr & District Motor Club based in the Manor Hotel in Abbeyleix on Sunday 23rd February. This Rally is also the opening round of the Top Part West Coast Rally Championships.
